This stunning building is set within 80 acres of some extremely attractrive, and very well kept grounds. It is one of the most popular wedding venues in Milton Keynes, and regarded as “one of the top historic wedding venues in the country.”
It is a Grade I listed building. It is complemented by the extensive gardens that can accommodate marquees for up to 300 guests. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies. The Main House and its bar, sitting room, and dining room provides the ideal venue for, both intimate and exclusive wedding receptions.
The main door opens to a fine panelled Great Hall, with a classical double-height ceiling. Beautiful marble columns, lead you to oak staircases to the upper floors. There is ‘secret’ library on the upper floor, with all shelving and books concealed behind what appears to be panelling. The interior includes some of the finest woodcarving, joinery and plasterwork in any English country house of its period.
The house is surrounded by a park of 80 acres, including a lake, canal, and 25 acres of gardens. An avenue of lime trees leads to the house, past an octagonal Grade II* listed dovecote.
I find Chichelely Hall, a very special venue, steeped in history, with an overwhelming feature of grandness, and all things fine.
